Llanelli AAC is affiliated to the John H Collins Gwent Cross-Country League which is one of the largest such leagues in the UK, drawing more than 60 clubs from across the South of Wales and South West England. The Club have run in the league for over 40 years. You can only run in the league if you are a member of an affiliated club.
There are 5 matches at different locations over the winter. There are different age categories (see below) who run different distances. Girls and boys have their own separate races, as do the ladies and men.
Fees per race are £5 Seniors £2 Juniors, these are collected by the team manage at each event.
Age Groups: Seniors & Masters, Novice (9 – Under 11) , Under 13, Under 15, Under 17, Under 20
We are also affiliated to the West Glamorgan Cross Country League which has a series of races on Sunday mornings for Over 17’s and seniors. Men and women race the same course together. There is a small entry fee and athletes are required to pay and enter themselves via the West Glamorgan registration site. You have to be a member of an affiliated Club to gain entry.
