The final fixture of the West Wales Junior League completed the season for Llanelli athletes. The league is a springboard for our younger athletes (9-14). Competing against eight clubs, and provides opportunity to compete in various track and field disciplines.
Llanelli Athletics were represented by 24 athletes, with once again excellent results, PB’s throughout the day, culminating with team relays. Finishing the team event in 6th place.
Highlights of the day were Cato Davies 1st place finish in the U11 75m Boys race in his first ever competition race, and Violet Neal securing another PB and 1st place in the U15 Girls 200m race. Aiden Vink gained 1st Place in a competitive U13 Boys Javelin, while Erin Thomas also secured 1st Place and a PB in the U13 Girls 70m Hurdles. There was also a standout relay performance in the U11 relays with 2 girls competing in the Boys 4x100m relay, where they finished in a respectable 2nd place.
Well done to all athletes and we look forward to the final outdoor competition in Swansea on 9th August 2025.
