The cross country and trail season continued at pace last weekend with Llanelli Athletic Club seniors racing at two events. The 2nd race in the West Glamorgan cross country series was staged at Aberavon over a 8 km course involving an outward run along the beach towards the Neath estuary and turning through the dunes before the long run back for the finish line. Thankfully the weather was dry and Anthony Heald , John Marson and Rachel Evans finished in fine style. Mean- while closer to home, senior men Simon Dorken and Darren Beynon competed in the tough Multi Terrain 10 race in Pembrey. This race has been going for many years and the Club are always keen to take part. This course also involved a section of beach, dunes as well as road and forestry paths.
The next cross country competition for Club seniors and juniors is the Gwent League in Blaise Castle Bristol.
